The combined multiconfiguration energy-bound-natural eigenvalue (MCEB- NEV) method was applied to Feshbach-type /sup 3/P/sup e/ autoionizing states of H- pertaining to the n = 3 and n = 4 thresholds. The lowest-lying state of each cluster was found to have appreciably positive binding energy compared with that of the (2p/sup 2/)/sup 3/P/sup e/ state below the n = 2 threshold. The magnitudes of th e binding energies are a little smaller than those of the H/sup - / /sup 1/S/sup e/ compound resonant states pertaining to the n = 3 and n = 4 thresholds. (auth)
