Alloys of Ti with 6.8, 8.6, 11.4, and 13% Mo, have maximum stability after heating at 800, 750, 700, and 650 deg , respectively, with cooling air. During cooling in water of alloys of the Ti--Mo system after heating to 700 to 650 deg C, maximum stability characteristics are observed in the two-phase alloy Ti--11.4% Mo with very fine ( alpha + BETA ) structure without omega phase. In alloys of the Ti-Mo system, the omega phase is not formed during cooling in air after heating to temperatures below 650 deg and with cooling in water after heating to temperatures below 700 deg C.
