Fiz.; 42: No. 11, 2288-2294(Nov Equations are obtained for the nonadiabatic change of the magnetic moment DELTA mu in the motion of particles in a magnetic dipole field, and for a certain class of inhomogeneous axisymmetric magnetic fields. Refinements are made for the dependence of DELTA mu on the angle between the velocity vector and the direction of the magnetic field at the field minimum. (auth)
