Estimates of dose rate to gonads of infants and children from a photon emitter in various organs of the body

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:4391922
In Health Physics Division annual progress report for period ending July 31, 1973. Estimates were made of the radiation dose rates to the gonads of infants and children from radioisotope photon sources distributed uniformly in various organs of the body. Estimates were made for photon energies of 0.02, 0.05, 0.1, 0.5, 1.0, and 2 MeV using Monte Carlo techniques and computer calculations in tissue-equivalent human phantoms reduced by scale factors to represent infants and children.
