>A gamma -photon activation analysis method for the determination of oxygen in cesium is described. The technique developed enables metal analysis in the bulk of the sample by mechanically scraping the surface of cesium after its irradiation in the solid state. The /sup 15/O is then chemically separated in a short time. The calibration curves are plotted. Analytical results are given. They indicate that cesium contains 5 to 10 mu g per gram of oxygen. The method used enables 0.1 mu g per gram of oxygen to be determined in a few minutes and to avoid contamination during packing. (auth)
