Stability of lanthanum, yttrium, scandium, and thorium glutarate and oxalate complexes in aqueous and aqueous-alcohol solutions (in Russian)

Journal Article · · Zh. Neorg. Khim., v. 18, no. 10, pp. 2723-2726

ABS>Stability constants were determined for the La, Y, Sc, and Th glutarate complexes, of the composition MA, in water and in mixtures of water with 19.8, 30.0, and 40.3 wt% ethanol; for the Sc and Th oxalate complexes of the composition MO/sub x/ and MHO/sub x/ in water, with an ion strengh of 0.05 and at 25 deg C. A linear dependence between the logarithm of the stability constant of the glutarate complexes of the metals mentioned and a reverse value of the dielectric penetrability of the solvent were shown.
