S>Two-neutron pickup reactions were performed on targets of /sup 149/Sm and radioactive /sup 151/Sm using 18-MeV protons. The outgoing tritons from the / sup 151/Sm target were analyzed with a magnetic spectrograph at 16 angles between 6 and 80 deg . Unlike the twoneutron transfer data on neighboring even--even targets, the angular distributi ons indicated 1 = 0 transiti ons to many levels in the final nucleus. Partial angular distributions for the /sup 149/Sm(p t)/sup 147/Sm reaction were obtained, but showed only one strong 1 = 0 transition populating the /sup 147/Sm ground state. In addition, spectra from the /sup 152/ Sm(p,t) reaction were measured at several angles in order to provide normalization to previous results. (auth)
