Numerical treatment of $gamma$ spectra using a programmable desk calculator (in French)

The use of a semi-conductor detector in activation analysis leads to the treatment of gamma spectra which contain much numerical data. The treatment of these spectra has been achieved on a small programmable desk calculator coupled to a punched-tape reader. The calculations are divided into programmed automatic steps (to search for the peaks and to integrate the peaks). Between these steps, the operator checks the results and directs the subsequent treatment. This comparatively cheap system has a simple and universal use. It is especially advantageous for laboratories in which each analysis is a peculiar case. The validity of the programs has been checked by reproducibility measurements of neutron activation analysis of aluntinium. (auth)
