Pion--nucleus interactions at zero energy

Conference ·
OSTI ID:4379385

In lectures from the LAMPF summer school. The topics discussed are scale factors and observables in the mesic atom, a relation between complex energy shifts and scattering lengths, an anomaly in the pion-nucleus interaction, a theorem of multiple scattering theory, the repulsive s-wave interaction, the gradient potential, and the nuclear Lorentz effect.
