Velocity dependence of the total ionization cross section of Ar atoms by metastable He atoms

The total ionization cross sectiopn of Ar atoms by metastable He atoms was meameasured in the relative velocity range of 1 to 4 x l0/sup 5/ cm s/sup -1/ by an atomic beam time of flight method, and is compared with the existing theoretical results. (auth)
