The electrodeposition of Cu --Cd alloys from CuSO/sub 4/--CdSO/sub 4/ electrolytes containing acetic or citric acid was studied. The beat electrolyte composition found contains (in q-equiv/l) CuSO/sub 4/, 0.2; CdSO/sub 4/, 0.5; citric acid, 1.0 and NH/sub 4/OH, 0.8. Electrolyte temperature 25 to 30 deg C and cathodic current density 0.25 to 0.75 A/dm/sup 2/ were optimal. (JRD)
