Simulation and modeling of heart bolus Anger camera studies
From 3rd symposium on sharing of computer programs and technology in nuclear medicine; Miami, Florida, USA (16 Jun 1973). In proceedings of third symposium on sharing of computer programs and technology in nuclear medicine. Much effort has been expended in developing radioisotopic techniques for use in obtaining parameters characterizing cardiac function. In these studies a bolus of radioactive material is injected intravenously and the time-rate-of-flow of the isotope through the cardiac region is monitored. Attempts are described to fit a mathematical simulation model to a set of isotope dilution curves obtained from patient studies. By using such a model it is hoped that blood flow parameters can be obtained. (auth)
