X-ray study of the thermal expansion of neptunium dioxide (in Russian)

Journal Article · · At. Energ. (USSR), v. 35, no. 2, p. 128
OSTI ID:4363164
High-temperature x-ray studies showed that, from room temperature to 700 deg C, the coefficient expansion of the NpO/sub 2/ crystalline lattice is constant at 9.5 x 10/sup -6/ per degree. With increasing temperature above 7O0 deg C, the coefficient increases, reaching 11 x 10/sup -6/ at 1000 deg C. These data are consistent with published values for other actinide dioxides. (TTT)
