Detection of radio emission from M1-11 and HD37806

Journal Article · · Nature (London) Phys. Sci., v. 245, no. 140, p. 7
OSTI ID:4362162
In continuation of earlier work the detection of radio emission from the objects M1-11 and HD 37806 is here reported. The observations were made at 2.8 cm. (l0.63 GHz) with the 46m. Algonquin Radio Observatory telescope. Measured flux densities for M1-11, on three separate occasions, were 106 plus or minus 17, 137 plus or minus 25, and 123 plus or minus 17 mfu, with an appropriately weighted mean value of 122 plus or minus 11 mfu. This object appears to resemble Vy 2-2 and HD 167362 in some respects. If M1-1l has a radio spectrtum similar to that of Vy 2-2 an appreciable fraction' of its infrared excess may be due to free-free transitions in a circumstellar gas cloud. The measured mean flux density for HD 37806 was 44 plus or minus 11 mfu, and this object appears in some respects to be more like V l016 Cyg than like Vy 2-2, HD 167362 and M1-11. (UK)
