Interpretation of quantum mechanics

A two-fold philosophical thesis regarding quantum mechanics is presented. It is first argued that quantum mechanics is an essentially indeterministic theory and, by extension, that those physical processes described by the theory are indeterministic. Secondly, it is argued that if this indeterminism is genuinely accepted, all the philosophical problems of interpreting quantum theory become tractable. (LBS)
