The flies Drosophila melanogaster isolated from natural populations from Livadia (the Crimea) were used in this experiment. A simple variation of the Cy/ L technique was employed to select radiation sensitive mutants. Six radiosensitive strains were isolated in a sample of about l00 mutants. (auth)
