The /sup 64/Zn( gamma ,n)/sup 63/Zn cross section was measured over the energy range E = 20.43 to E/sub gamma / = 21.94 MeV using monochromatic gamma rays from the T(p, gamma )/sup 4/He reaction and detecting the resulting position activity. The gamma rays were monitored by a 23 cm diameter by 23 cm long NaI crystal. The positron activity was determined by a coincidence detector consisting of two 7.6 cm diameter by 7.8 cm long NaI crystals set on the annihilation radiati on photopeaks. The gamma ray energy resolution was better than 110 keV over the whole energy range. Structure, although reported by other experimenters, was not observed. (auth)
