THE $beta$-SPECTRUM OF SULPHUR 35

Journal Article · · Proc. Phys. Soc. (London)
For energies greater than 100 kev, the uncorrected Fermi plot for each of several runs on S/sup 35/ was linear within the limits of statistical accuracy, which was everywhere better than 1%. Taking the results as a whole, the end point energy was determined to be 167.4 plus or minus 0.2 kev. This end point energy yields a log ft value of 5.01 for 87.1 day S/sup 35/ and corresponds to a mean beta -particle energy of 61.0 plus or minus 0.2 kev. (M.H.R.)
