Civil engineering problems of the Bradwell power station are summarized. Among these are the problems concerned with the clay subsoil, the site being beIow high tide level, and the CEA requirement that the contractors must submit a lump sum tender for complete stations to their own designs. Some details of the reactor buildings, the turbine house, and the circulating water systems are given. (M.H.R.)
