MEASUREMENT OF THE ELASTIC SCATTERING OF 1.12 Mev GAMMA RAYS IN LEAD (in French)

Journal Article · · Compt. rend.
OSTI ID:4352897
These results agree practically with the semi-empirical calculations of thc Rayleigh and Thomson effects. The disagreement between the values for l.l2 Mev of Zn/sup 65/ and those for 1.l7 Mev of Co/sup 60/ can be attributed to the inelastic scattering of l.33 Mev gamma rays of Co/sup 60/ due to electrons bound to the nucleus.
