Thesis. Trace impurities in pure iron were determined by reactor neutron activation analysis. Three methods for the determination of trace impurities in iron were developed: a nondestructive technique by means of long- lived isotopes, a nondestructive technique by means of short-lived isotopes, and a destructive technique. The destructive technique is mainly based on ion- exchange separations in 1M hydrofluoric acid. (LK)
