From international nuclear industries fair; Basel, Switzerland (16 Oct 1972). The influence of remelting on the manufacture of tubing for nuclear fuel elements according to specification for a sodium-cooled fast breeder using the steels 4988, 4981 and 16/15 CrNiTiB is analyzed. It has shown that remelting in the vacuum consumableelectrode furnace and remelting by the electro-slag process are equivalent. 8 references. (auth)
