DELAYED $gamma$-RAY ANGULAR CORRELATIONS IN TANTALUM 181

Journal Article · · Phil. Mag.
ABS>The anisotropy of the 133 to 480 kev gamma -ray cascade in Ta/sup 181/ has been investigated for liquid sources, using a time-sorting coincidence unit of short resolving time. The maximum anisotropy has been found to be -- (39 plus or minus 3)% consistent with the 1/2(E2) 5/2 (E2 + M1) 7/2 assignment; and evidence has been obtained for attenuation of the correlation in liquid sources.
