With /sup 181/Hf sources in the form of alloy with 0.3 at % Ni, prepared by the arc fusion method, measurements were made of the perturbed gamma -- gamma angular correlation. From the differential measurement of the 133--382- keV cascade in Ta nuclei H/sub ef/= 91 plus or minus 2 kG was obtained in agreement with known data. The parameters of the experimental curves showed that approximates 45% of the Hf atoms in this source exist at lattice points in the matrix, which is close to the value obtainable with sources prepared by the implantation method. Probably significantly smaller (or zero) fields act on the nucleus of the atom found at the lattice sites. (3 figures) (tr-auth)
