Hawaii volcano energy

The exploration and development of volcano energy in Hawaii was proposed by the center for Engineering Research at the University of Hawaii. Funds have been pledged by private sources, federal agencies, State of Hawaii, and Hawaii County to accomplish minimal necessary investigation of geological, engineer, socioeconomic, and environmental base-line data concerning the potential for access to geothermal energy. The geology of the islands is briefly discussed. (MCW)
