Insurance aspects of the Paris Convention from the UK point of view

The insurance aspects of the Paris Convention are reviewed. These aspects are then dis-cussed from the point of view of the UK Nuclear Installation Acts of 1985 and 1989 in relation to nuclear installation licensee responsibility; emission of ionizing radiations from installations; financial security required: cover period; certificate of financial security; period of limitation; British form of act liability insurance policy; two or more installations; site of an installation; liability for on-site damage; and suppliers of goods and sevices. It was concluded that there are no particular difftculties or problems. (GE)
