Cathode processes during refining of vanadium in chloride--fluoride melts (in Russian)

Journal Article · · Tr. Inst. Elektrokhim., Ural. Nauch. Tsentr. Akad. Nauk SSSR, no. 19, pp. 26-28
OSTI ID:4345828
Cathode polarization of V electrodes in chloride- fluoride melts containing 2 wt % V was studied. Effect of the electrolysis conditions on the character of the precipitation of the metal was determined. At current densities on the cathode below 0.02 A/cm/sup 2/ and temperatures around 400 deg C, compact vanadium deposits were obtained. (tr-auth)
