High-pressure ion exchange and its application in the reprocessing of highly radioactive materials (in German)

Book ·
OSTI ID:4345393

From 24th UPAC congress; Hamburg, Germany (2 Sep 1973). Rapid chromatographic separation processes proved to be particularly suitable for the separation of highly radioactive substences, as e.g. for the separation of Am, Cm isotopes or the separation of /sup 252/Cf. The processes involved in the use of highpressure columns, such as the effect of pressure on the packing mode and the separation process itself are examined in detail, with the tests being restricted for the time being to idealized separation processes (i.e., to those using trace amounts).
