In order to choose a method for the routine radiochemical purity control of Na/sup 131/I a comparison of results obtained with use of three paper, one thin-layer chromatographic, and two paper electrophoretic methods has been made. As result of this investigation two methods are proposed as routine: paper electrophoresis in veronal buffer with pH = 8.6, ionic strength 0.12, potential gradient 7- l6 V/cm for I-determination, and for 10 determination ascending paper chromatography on Whatman 1 with use n-butanol + dioxan + 2N ammonia (4 : 1 : 5) mixture as developer.
