Observations of Nova IV Cephei 1971

Spectrographic and three-color photometric observations of Nova IV Cephei 1971 are presented. A stationary circumstellar helium shell visible spectroscopically during the nova's early decline may be evidence of an earlier outburst from this star. (auth)
