POLARIZATION OF PROTONS FROM THE d-d REACTION AT 1.2 Mev

Journal Article · · Nuclear Phys.
The protons emitted at 135 deg from the d-d reaction at 1.2 Mev enter a helium scattering chamber after passing through a 23 cm brass tube. To measure the asymmetry of the protons scattered in helium, two pairs of plates were placed at each of the two positions: azimuthal angle O deg and 180 deg . Proton energy at the moment of scattering was measured to be 2.05 plus or minus 0.05 Mev. The data give for polarization P plus or minus 0.24 plus or minus 0.08. (W.D.M.)
