From international nuclear industries fair; Basel, Switzerland (16 Oct 1972). The MZFR is the first power reactor developed in Germany. Various teething troubles had been overcome by autumn 1969. The availability improved from 86% in 1970 to 98% up to the September 1971 inspection. More than 1700 fuel element changes under load and less than 1% D/sub 2/O loss per annum show that the systems are able to satisiy all requirements. (auth)
