Recovery of irradiated Fe--1.45%Cr--C alloys

This study was carried out on Fe-- 1.45%Cr-- C alloys to study the annealing process after irradiation through internal friction maeasurements and torsional tests. The irradiation was carried at about 70 deg C to a neutron dose of approximates 1.0 x 10/sup 20/nvt(>1 MeV) in JMTR. The following results were obtained: (1) the addition of Cr atoms retards the resolution of C atoms, and (2) in irradiated specimens, the recovery behavior determined from torsional tests is almost identical to that from the Snoek-peak measurements.
