PILE NEUTRON ABSORPTION CROSS-SECTION OF $sup 83$Kr, $sup 131$I AND $sup 133$Xe

The pile neutron absorption cross sections of the fission products Kr/ sup 83/, I/sup 131/, and Xe/sup 133/ have been determined using mass spectrometric techniques. The values were found to be be 216 plus or minus 43 barns, 51 plus or minus 40 barns, and 188 plus or minus 89 barns for Kr/sup 83/, I/sup 131/, and Xe/sup 133/, respectively. (auth)
