ROTATIONAL CHARACTER OF THE TRANSITION FROM THE 473 kev LEVEL IN Tm$sup 16$$sup 9$

Journal Article · · Nuclear Phys.

The lifetime of the 473 kev state of Tm/sup 169/ is investigated by means of a BETA -ray spectrometer operated in coincidence with a NaI scintillation detector. An upper limit of approximately 5 x 10/sup -8/ sec is obtained for the half life, which is consistent with a rotational interpretatlon of thls state. (auth)
