Fundamental interactions and the nucleus

The first chapter gives a review of the fundamental interactions, CP violatlon, and nuclear studies of the fundamental interactions. The remaining chapters treat nuclear BETA decay, the polar vector current in BETA decay, the axial-vector current in BETA decay, unusual hadron currents and interactlons in BETA decay, the lepton current and the neutrino, mu -meson capture, the weak internucleon potential, the effect of a rarity violating potential in low energy nuclear physics processes, time reversal noninvariance in nuclear reactions and electromagnetic transitions, electromagnetic and charge dependent interactions, and strong interactions in the nucleus. Five appendices are included that deal with: some notations and conventions; nonrelativistic quantum mechanics; relativistic quantum mechanics; quantized fields; isospin, charge symmetry, and G-parity, and current matrix elements.
