INVESTIGATION OF THE B$sup 10$(n, $alpha$)Li$sup 7$ REACTION BY THE PHOTOEMULSION METHOD

Journal Article · · Nuclear Phys.
S>Nuclear emulsion Agfa K3 (loaded earth boron) evas exposed to slow neutrons. By measuring the range R( alpha + Li/sup 7/) the values Q* = 2.29 plus or minus 0.09 Mev and Q = 2.76 plus or minus 0.17 Mev evere obtained for the energy of the reaction. The ratio of decays leading to the ground and excited states of the Li/sup 7/ nucleus is sigma STAB/sup 10/(n, alpha )Li/sup 7/!/ sigma (B/sup 10/(n, alpha )Li/sup 7*/! = 0. 086 plus or minus 0.009.
