The deformed nucleus O/sup 190/ deformation BETA ; 0.15) was studied to find the characteristic properties of ellipsoid nuclei. The scheme levels were plotted from experimental data on Os/sup 190/. Analysis of gamma -vibration levels in deformed nuclei shows that for the 0s/sup 190/ and 2/sup +/ level appears at 550 to 600 Mev. The data for Os/sup 190/ were correlated with the generalized shell models. The dependence of relative intensities of gamma transitions B(E2) to the K = 0/sup +/, I = 0/sup +/, and 2/sup +/ levels on the deformation parameters of Sm/sup 152/, Dy/sup 160/, W/sup 182/, Os/sup 188/, and Os/sup 190/ nuclei was analyzed. lt was found that with diminishing deformations, experimental magnitudes increasingly deviate from the theoretical, and that the discrepancy reaches a maxtmum with Os/sup 190/. The data show that the assumptions used in the deformed nucleus theory cannot be justified on the basis of small parameter deformation nuclei of the Os/sup 190/ type. (R.V.J.)
