From international nuclear industries fair; Basel, Switzerland (16 Oct 1972). S.I.C.N. is developing a new short process for the manufacture of uranium fuel rods of Gas Graphite Reactors. The design for a vacuum continuous casting process with continuous withdrawal of the ingot from the vacuum chamber to the open air is described. Rods cast with this process are of superior quality and economic advantages are important. (auth)
