The P kappa omega kappa value of Sr following /sup 88/Y decay has been determined to be P kappa omega kappa = 0.613 plus or minus 0.004 using two independent methods for the measurement of the K x-ray emission rate and a calibrated gamma -ray spectrometer for the determination of the disintegration rate. With this result and a K-capture probability P kappa = 0.877 plus or minus 0.003 deduced from literature the K-shell fluorescence yield of Sr is omega kappa = 0.899 plus or minus 0.007. (auth)
