DETERMINATION OF BORON IN TITANIUM ALLOYS BY ION EXCHANGE METHOD

Boron is separated from Ti by passing a HCl solution of Ti/sup 4+/ through a cation exchanger of the sulfonic acid type. An aliquot of the effluent is complexed with quinalizarin in H/sub 2/SO/sub 4/ and the complex titrated with water to a previously established color. (auth)
