From third Health Physics Society midyear topical symposium; Los Angeles, California, USA (29 Jan 1969). See CONF-690103P1. The question is considered of how one can distinguish a high level in urine due to a new intake from a high level that is merely a result of the day-to-day fluctuations of urinary excretion. Equations are developed to describe relationships between intake and excretion. The probability is examined of the additional excretion due to an intake being significantly high in the sense that inequality is satisfied and this is examined as a function of the sampling time.
