Heat capacities of BETA -gallium oxide, germanium dioxide (soluble form), molybdenum dioxide and nobium dioxide were measured in the temperature range 51 to 298 deg K. All four substances gave normal heat capacity-temperature curves. The entropies at 298.15 deg K are, respoctively, 20.31 plus or minus 0.10, 15.21 plus or minus 0.10, 11.06 plus or minus 0.06 and 15.03 plus or minus 0.07 cal/deg mole. (auth)
