The neutron emergency dosimeter system developed on behalf of the National Center for Radiation Protection of the GDR is described. It consists of an emergency badge (Au, Cu, In, and S foils, solid-state track detector, LiF thermoluminescence dosimeter probe), a button hole dosimeter (Cu and S foils), and a position dosimeter (Au foil and LiF TLD probe in a moderator sphere, emergency badge, and Zn, Fe, and Al threshold indicators). The reading method of the activation foils is described for the case that an accident happened in a nuclear installation. The possible errors of absorbed dose measurement are discussed. (auth)
