Thermal variation of parameters and magnetostriction in equiatomic rare earth--zinc compounds (in French)

Journal Article · · Compt. Rend., Ser. A, B, v. 277, no. 14, pp. 353-354
OSTI ID:4326983
>The thermal variations of the unit cells of YZn, TbZn, DyZn, HoZn, and ErZn were investigated. Below the ordering temperature of the magnetic compounds, a distortion was observed which agreed with previous results obtained for these magnetic structures. The distortions observed for TbZn and DyZn attained 4 x 5 and 8 x 10/sup -2/ respectively. This distortion is much weaker in the other compounds. (FR)
