HEAT TRANSFER RATES TO BOILING FREON 114 IN VERTICAL COPPER TUBES

Heat transfer rates from condensing steam to boiling Freon 114 were measured in verticai copper tubes. The rates were uniform along the length of the tube up to a temperature differential of 20 F. Above this temperature difference, 12.5% of the area transferred up to 75% of the total heat. (J.R.D.)
