Experimental technique for studying 180$sup 0$ scattering

Journal Article · · Nucl. Instrum. Methods, v. 114, no. 3, pp. 591-596
Using the associated particle method and a thin reaction target an experimental technique was developed for studying 180 deg scattering. This technique can be used to obtain the scattering cross section for neutrons and charged particles at extreme backward angles (165 deg to 180 deg to -- 165 deg ). This technique was tested by measuring the elastic scattering cross section of 3.65 MeV neutrons from Pb at 180 deg . (auth)
