NEW APPLICATIONS OF RADIO ELEMENTS AND OF RADIATION TO INDUSTRY (in French)

The French experiences in the industrial utilization of radioisotopes are described. These applications include thickness gaging, measurement of now rate, study of the evolution of gravel and alluviums, and preparations of the chemical industry. The principal radioisotopes used are listed, and the procedare for using them is briefly described. The large and interesting possibilities of these techniques are emphasized, and the limitations because of the dangers of contannination and because of the rarity or high price of the products are discussed.
