This paper is an analysis of the drift-dissipative instability generated by neutral velociiy disturbances in the weakly ionized ionospheric plasma. Starting from the equations of two-component model of weakly ionized, anisotropic and quasi-neutral plasma, with gradient of the electron concentration, and ambient electric field, the expression for the time dependence of the ionization perturbation at given disturbance in neutral wind velocity is obtained. The calculations are done in linear approximation. The full expression of the growth rate is given as well as the necessary condition for possible directions of unstable mode propagations. Numerical calculations are presented for some parameters of ionospheric plasma in the bottom ionosphere. (auth)
