The ratio was determined by comparing the Cd ratios of Pu/sup 240/ and Au. Values of 39 plus or minus 2 Mev for the 1.06 ev resonance width and 335 b for the 2200 m/sec cross section were cbtained. A collimated beam of neutrons from the NBX was used in the measurements. The experimental arrangement is shown. (D. E. B.)
